Dreams and What Dreams Mean

I dream of the death of my three year old son.

DREAM TITLE: Death of Three Year Old Son

I have 3 recurring dreams.

First, my dog runs out in the road and gets hit by a car. I go to check on him and when I turn him over it is my 3 year old son - Dead.

Second, I am driving in the car with my son in the back, we go round a bend and clip the curb, the car rolls and we end up on the side, I am paralyzed cannot turn to check on my son. He is silent. The ambulance comes and pronounces him dead.

Third, my son is holding his pet rabbit, holding him so tight that his insides are coming out of his mouth and his bottom.

I woke up and shot out of bed each time. Please help me find the meaning to my dreams, they are freaking me out.  Many Thanks / L

WHAT THIS DREAM MEANS

These are stories that say:

1. Someone sees a loved creature go into dangerous territory and meet an unexpected catastrophe that destroys them.

2. Someone transporting something they love which is under their care meet an unexpected crises, that leads to the destruction of loved one, who they cannot help. This dream implies an accident or carelessness, a lack of attention that leads to clipping a corner. It also brings up the question, What are you cutting corners with  that could make something go wrong (e.g. cutting back staff at work etc).

3. Someone goes overboard with something good and unintentionally ruins it.

EXPERT’S COMMENTS:

A recurring dream tends to have an important message. All three say almost the same thing. They indicate an unexpected turn of events that leads to catastrophe and destruction of something valued and cherished.

Sometimes a child’s age is a metaphor related to the topic. What in your life is three years old other than your son? A job, project, investment, a relationship?

Death in a dream is generally a signal of major change, as the greatest change we meet. All three are giving you a heads up about a major change that is unpleasant and unexpected.

On occasion, such a dream can be a literal warning but in this case, the markers are not there. However, since two of the three dreams talk of a car accident, it doesn't hurt to be careful driving for a while, especially if your child happens to be in the car, though I don't think that's what the dream is about.
