I had a two part dream. One was a competition my husband was giving me and his kids to see who had the best swarm of bees around us. There were rules. One of the kids didn't follow the rules but won because her bees were many and loud. My bees swarmed around me gently and quietly. In the second part, I was lying on the sand by a stream and two beautiful, colorful fish swam up to me to look at me. The stream was shining. We just looked at each other. I felt peace and was intrigued.
Main Life Issues:
Working hard, struggle in marriage, kids no longer at home.
Felt How:
With the bees I felt curious and thought my bees were good. Felt peace with the fish.
Story Line:
These are two short dreams. The first is a story about how the noisy one wins no matter what they do. The second shows how going beneath the surface (to the inner self) brings peace.
Main Symbol:
Bees: Noisy creatures that get your attention while being constructive.
Fish: Peaceful beauty below the surface.
What it Means:
Do you know the expression, “the squeaky wheel gets the grease”? I think that's dream one is saying, that no matter what your husband says he wants, he responds to whoever is the loudest and gets his attention. It tells you that if you sometimes feel it's hard to please him and get his attention, that's how to do it - be loud, outspoken and active and he will respond. Does that make sense in terms of your interactions with your husband? Taking a quiet, reasonable approach with him, which may be your natural style, will not work with him.
The second dream is a scene about a peaceful exchange beneath the surface. I suspect it mirrors how you reach into the quiet part of self when you need to, to the still, quiet voice inside which has the answers you seek. It suggest that taking quiet inner moments benefits you, perhaps to find peace or spiritual strength. That’s how you find the true sense of self and connection to who you are.
